What’s Happening Write Now

Hello everyone! The world is undergoing a big change since the pandemic occurred back in March. We’ve experienced a lot of changes in our lives and lost so much. Some more than others. More on that in upcoming blog posts.

In the meantime, I want to provide you an update on my writing projects, particularly my novel “Withstanding the Fiery Furnace.”

It has been two years, this past March, where I started research and writing my first draft of my novel. It has come a long way since then and is now in the midst of the editing process. It’s amazing to see how much work goes into writing a story. I’m halfway done editing, thanks to the help of my friends in the writing community. Once I’m done, I’ll be looking for beta readers, people who provide feedback to the author, before it goes into the final round of edits. I’m excited for everyone to read this when it’s done. Here is a snippet from the novel.

In regards to other writing projects, the first four stories of my Doctor Who series are up. You can follow Nicole, a detective, and her adventures with the Doctor here at this site. I’m posting a chapter a week on the website so story five is almost complete.

I’ve entered a couple of story writing competitions. One where we have to write a story based on the theme of isolation and another is a Doctor Who contest where the winner will get their story published as an audiobook by Big Finish. I’m excited to create and explore these stories with new characters.

If you are looking for something to read, my friend, Megan Basinger, has two free short stories you can read. One is historical fiction and the other is suspense thriller. Check it out on https://mbdesignweb.wixsite.com/meganbasinger/going-up

Have an amazing weekend!
